Enrichment Club Students Complete Young Interpreter Course

Wednesday, 12th June 2024

We are proud to announce that students from our Enrichment Club have successfully completed the prestigious Young Interpreter course. This accomplishment equips them with the skills and knowledge to become supportive buddies to new arrivals, ensuring a warm and inclusive welcome for all.

The Young Interpreter course is designed to train students in effective communication and cultural understanding, empowering them to assist peers who are new to the school and may face language barriers. Through this training, our students have learned to provide valuable support, helping newcomers navigate their new environment and feel more at ease.

Our Enrichment Club members demonstrated remarkable dedication and empathy throughout the course. By becoming Young Interpreters, they have committed to fostering a welcoming atmosphere at Harper Green School, where every student can thrive regardless of their background.

The completion of this course not only benefits the new arrivals but also enriches the personal growth of the participating students. They have developed essential life skills such as empathy, leadership, and cross-cultural communication, which will serve them well in their future endeavours.

We are very proud of our students' achievements and their commitment to making Harper Green School a sanctuary of learning and inclusivity. This initiative aligns perfectly with our values and our recent recognition as a Schools of Sanctuary National Award recipient.

Congratulations to all the students involved! Your hard work and dedication are truly inspiring and make Harper Green School a better place for everyone.
