Year 5 and 6 Annual Open Evening

On Thursday, 19th September, we welcomed prospective students and their families to our annual Year 5 and 6 Open Evening. The event provided visitors with a wonderful opportunity to explore our fantastic facilities, speak with our students and teachers and get a real sense of what learning and life at Harper Green School is like.

Throughout the evening, visitors experienced a wide variety of interactive learning activities designed to showcase the diverse and exciting curriculum on offer. From Halloween-themed science experiments and dissections to drama productions, cultural food sampling, and building a giant tetrahedron in maths, there was something for everyone to enjoy. Children also had the chance to taste some of the delicious lunchtime menus provided to our students, including tapas in Spanish class and other culinary treats.

In addition to exploring the school and engaging with activities, families attended presentations from our Headteacher, Ms Heppenstall, as well as inspiring talks from our Year 11 head students and current Year 7 students who shared their personal experiences and the impact Harper Green has had on their educational journey so far.

We hope everyone who visited felt warmly welcomed and left with a clear understanding of what Harper Green School can offer. It was a pleasure to meet so many prospective students and their families, and we look forward to seeing some familiar faces next September.
